In 1992, as part of the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Alaska Highway, a group of restored WW II military vehicles drove as a convoy from Edmonton, Alberta, to Fairbanks. This image was taken as they arrived in Delta Junction, the end of new construction in 1942 as the AlCan connected to the Richardson Highway for the last leg into Fairbanks.
