1975 brought the conclusion of the ATS-6 satellite
demonstration project.
A major change for KUAC-FM took place in 1975. At the beginning of June the
era of reliance on students to cover board shifts ended. Instead full time staff
was hired to do both on-air and production tasks. This was sparked by the need
for minimum staffing levels to insure qualification for CPB and NPR.
